  About  Bhutan Bhutan is a small and peaceful country located in the eastern Himalayas of South Asia. It is surrounded by India and China . The capital city of Bhutan is Thimphu . Bhutan is known for its beautiful mountains, clean environment, and rich culture. Bhutan is called the “Land of the Thunder Dragon” because of its strong traditions and history. The country follows Buddhism , which plays an important role in the lives of the people. Bhutanese people wear traditional clothes called Gho and Kira and celebrate colorful festivals known as Tshechu . Bhutan is also famous for protecting nature and measuring the happiness of its people through Gross National Happiness (GNH). The country values peace, culture, and environmental conservation.
